Restrooms have become more automated in response to the public demand for greater convenience, safer waste disposal and an improved hygienic environment. Automation eliminates the spread of infection caused by unclean hands. However, since 75% of the public fail to wash their hands after using the toilet, one area in the public restroom still remains a haven for colonies of bacteria.

THE DOOR HANDLE ON THE EXIT DOOR.

The patented HYSO device is affixed on the door approximately 15 inches above the door handle. At pre-set intervals manually selected by the user, the device will deliver a burst of specially formulated “QUAT based” ULTRA CLEANER that completely covers the door handle. This instant drying mist keeps the handle clean for the next user, reducing the risk of cross-contamination.

The HYSO device needs a replaceable can of specially formulated “QUAT based” ULTRA CLEANER that depending on the selected interval setting, can last for up to 3 months. At the cusp of intervals a system of gears engages the patented stem pipe, which releases a measured mist of the formula. A proximity sensor detects motion within one meter of the unit ensuring the cessation of delivery, thus eliminating the inadvertent spraying of a hand. Also containing a light sensor, the HYSO unit will power down if no ambient light is present. Powered by 4 AA batteries, the HYSO unit does not require special wiring into the main electric source, making it easy to install and inexpensive to operate.

In order to satisfy international regulations, HYSO INTERNATIONAL LTD manufactures a formulation in the United Kingdom for HYSO systems used outside the US. This formulation is fully compliant with the Biocidal Products Directive.
